When the road you are on, has brought you an opportunity to share with someone about the saving grace of God, through His Son, Jesus. You, like so many fellow believers, might not know how to approach this subject effectively. You may be like so many, that are intimidated by your own lack of bible centered knowledge, to begin the conversation.

When sharing with someone about your own life-changing experience with the King of Kings. You begin talking about the effects that Jesus has done in your own personal life. This should and typically is for the true believer, not a hard task. This first step in witnessing to a lost world, is very important. It is how we can relate with someone, and gain their empathy, to equal the playing field by telling them how you were lost, but now, you are found. To then hopefully share the real meat of the matter. Telling them how this change came only through your trusting in His sacrifice for your sins, and atonement, and propitiation on the cross. Now, this part of your testimony can begin to intensify the very atmosphere around you, literally.

You are now entering into a part of the conversation that is much more specific to the actual scriptures. The part that you never knew or realized apart from God Himself revealing it to you, through His Holy Word. That you were dead in your sins. That you could not have found this truth apart from the grace, mercy and love of God showing it to you. That you were ignorant, and unashamed of your depravity. And the absolute truth is, that we are all sinners. That none are good enough to enter into Heaven, and stand in front of The Holy God of creation, and expect to be accepted into His presence, His peace, while we are still covered in sin. That we can never be good enough, no matter who you are, or what you have accomplished on this earth. That it is only through the shed blood of a perfect sacrifice, Christ Jesus, that can atone for our sins, and wash them away, as far as the east is from the west. And, accepting this truth, that you are a sinner in need of God’s Only way to be justified. You repent. You confess that you are a sinner. That you have sinned against God’s perfect will for your life. You confess that Christ Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is the only way to cleanse you from this unrighteousness. You turn from your wicked ways, because you now know, through the Holy Spirit, that you can no longer trust yourself, and can ONLY depend on Christ Jesus to enter in, and change you. To turn your heart of stone, into a heart of flesh. To be born again (or born from Above). You now know and believe, because of the faith given to you by God, you can enter into His rest. A Salvation and Peace that passes all understanding.

And to be honest, as you continue into this part of your testimony, you realize what is needed of you, as a true unashamed follower, believer, disciple of Christ. You have to tell them the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. The scripture is specific to what is demanded of the true believer to be saved. You can feel the presence of the enemy. Because, you are now entering into the real spiritual warfare that is talked about in (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy does not want true deliverance, and will do anything to destroy this God-appointed time, if they can. At this point, this is where the proverbial rubber meats the road.

You know, standing in front of this friend, family member, or stranger. Their first encounter with the King of the Universe is a big deal. And in this moment, we all can, in our own strength realize just how ill-equipped we truly are. Especially now, since the enemy is shouting all of our failings and shortcomings into our ears. You might be feeling like a ship without a rudder. And possibly this opportunity to effectively share is sinking fast, all because you are relying on yourself to do what only God can do.

Instead, you should allow this burden to be lifted from your incapable hands. By standing aside, and allowing the Holy Spirit to do what He was sent to to do here on earth. By allowing the Word to be read, allowing the Holy Spirit to bring conviction, you can be a true vessel for the Living Word to be used in an effectual way. For the very purpose it is here for. To be a lamp. To be The Guide. To release Dunamis Power (miraculous power) to the unbeliever, to set the captive free, and to all of those that are called for His purpose.

Let this God-Appointed, Spiritual encounter, your audience has with the Creator of the Universe, be powered and moved by God Himself, through His Holy Word, as they are introduced to the Loving Grace, Mercy, and Saving knowledge of the King of kings and Lord of lords, Christ Jesus. Aka..the Word, made flesh.
